The privacy of our Members’ information is of the highest importance to the Republican National Conservative Caucus. We have therefore developed the following Privacy Statement to explain our policy with regard to your personal information.
When you register for membership, we require that you provide certain personal information, including your name, email address, street address, and phone number so that we may communicate with you. Part of the mission of the RNCC is to alert you when events which are important to you are transpiring, and let you know what you can do to stand for the conservative principles you hold dear. This information will be used by the RNCC to ensure that you receive targeted communications in a timely manner.
None of the information that we collect from our Members is made public. Rather, it is maintained by the RNCC and is only accessible by those charged by the RNCC with sending out messages to our Members. At no time will we ever sell or otherwise provide the information we collect from our Members to any outside entity, except as required by law, or except as provided in the “Disclosure of Information” section below.
When you access web sites from the Internet, your computer automatically provides its Internet Protocol (“IP”) address to the computer hosting that web site. Also, if you use a modem to dial into a website, the phone number to which the modem is connected is provided to the host. In addition, the date, time, and duration of your visit may be automatically noted. This information may be collected and stored for a limited period of time, so that it may be used by the hosting site or the RNCCto help diagnose problems and improve the quality of our website.
Except as provided in the “Disclosure of Information” section below, the RNCC does not attempt to use the technical information collected to identify individual visitors.
“Cookies” are data files that may be written to your computer’s hard drive by the web pages you visit. They contain information about your visit, and are used in order to customize services the website provides you. Our website may utilize cookies. To avoid receiving cookies, you should either adjust the settings in your web browser so that cookies are turned off, or else set your browser to ask your permission prior to accepting a new cookie. Disabling cookies may impair your ability to access certain content on the RNCC website.
We will only share your personal information with others under the following limited circumstances:
Any such disclosures shall comply with all applicable law.
There is always a risk that information you transmit over the Internet will be intercepted by third parties. Although this risk is slight, you should be aware that it exists. We therefore cannot guarantee the security of the information you submit to us while it is passing through cyberspace.
Once the RNCC receives your information, we will use our best efforts to maintain its security, commensurate with the sensitivity of the information we are storing. Should we become aware that our security has been breached, we will notify you as soon as practicable.
The RNCC website contains links to other websites which are not under the control of the RNCC. Those websites are not subject to the RNCC’s privacy policy, and may have privacy policies of their own. The RNCC cannot be responsible for the practices or content of those sites.
